Spread Payment Rounding Test

Objective

This test is designed to test the ‘spreading’ of a benefit over multiple pay periods. There are two employees, each with a benefit assigned and the test is designed to be run over 12 pay periods. One of the benefits divides cleanly into 12 periods, the other doesn’t – we are checking how the one that doesn’t divide equally is handled.

Tasks

1. Import/create the company
2. Import the employees
3. Import the medical benefit
4. Check the initial ‘spread amounts’
5. Run all 12 pay periods and check the actual amount that has been payrolled (YTD figure) is equal to the actual benefit assigned.
